Where do we start with Chef Aly? Brendan O’Carroll, the creator of Mrs Brown’s Boys, calls him a ‘Fecking food genius’. We agree. His range of menus he’ll create for your tour or production will be truly outstanding. Egyptian born, Chef Aly has always wanted to cook from leaving school and went straight to catering college and after graduating joined a Cairo hotel chain as a trainee chef. Whilst working as Demi Chef de Partie at the renowned Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh Hotel he was awarded Employee of the Year and also received a personal thank you from the President of Egypt for his work. He then set sail for three years working as sous chef on the Island Escape cruise ship before returning to land and becoming Head Chef at Ziniz Restaurant in Yorkshire, where he currently lives with his wife and two children. From 2011, Chef Aly has worked within the tour catering industry and has provided fabulous dishes for stars such as Madonna, Paul McCartney, Lionel Richie, Bryan Adams and Eric Clapton and for productions including the MTV Awards, Walking with Dinosaurs, Batman Live and the BAFTA’s. Chef Aly has also been a private chef but in 2015 he set up his own tour catering company to have more involvement in the menu choices using his vast experience, knowledge and outstanding creativity.
